oreo truffles

On the 10th day of blogmas
36 Oreos, divided (original, not doublestuf)
1 (8-oz) package cream cheese, softened
16-oz almond bark, candy melts, or melted chocolate (white, milk, or dark)
Extra melting chocolate for decoration

Set a long sheet of wax paper over a cookie sheet, set aside. Place 36 Oreos in a food processor (entire cookie, don't remove cream filling) and pulse to fine crumbs. Pour crushed Oreos into the bowl of a stand mixer along with cream cheese and mix on low speed until well combined. Scoop mixture out and form into 1/2 inch balls. Align on prepared cookie sheet and place truffles in freezer for 15 minutes.

Melt almond bark, candy melts, or chocolate according to directions on the package. Remove truffles from freezer and dip in melted chocolate and use a spoon to pour some chocolate over the to then lift and allow excess chocolate to run off. Return to baking sheet.

I used melted white chocolate in a piping bag to decorate the top of the truffles. Allow the chocolate to set and then store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
