diy gingerbread sugar scrub

On the 3rd day of blogmas...
Sugar scrubs are sooooo nice. They smell good and they leave skin so soft. Today I'm making a gingerbread scrub for the Christmas season. These make super cute gifts too! I found this recipe on Frugal Coupon Living and tweaked her recipe just a bit to my personal preference. She has some really cute labels for the scrub so definitely go check her page if these are going to be gifts.

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 - 1 cup coconut oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon allspice
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1. Mix dry ingredients in a bowl. Add vanilla and melted coconut oil.
2. Spoon in to jars or other air-tight containers.
3. Use on hands or in the shower. Use up within the month!

The mixture makes about 2.5 cups of scrub and I was able to fill 2 containers with some left over. I wrapped mine with some Christmas ribbon from Jo-Anns.
