Grey's Anatomy. "Ellen Pompeo stars in this Emmy-winning medical drama as Dr. Meredith Grey, a young surgical intern (and eventual resident) who's caught up in a swirl of personal and professional passions with fellow doctors at Seattle Grace Hospital. Patrick Dempsey co-stars as Grey's initial object of obsession, Derek "McDreamy" Shepherd, who doesn't let his marital status stop him from romancing the hospital staff."

New Girl. "This smart sitcom revolves around Jessica Day, a socially awkward schoolteacher who's still trying to rebound from a recent breakup when she moves in with three single guys, all ready to help her understand the ways of the world."

Parenthood. "Four grown siblings juggle parenthood, relationships, careers and more as they cope with life's ups and downs in this family drama set in Berkeley, Calif. Meanwhile, their parents face an unraveling marriage and their own parenting challenges."

Scrubs. "Follow the slapstick antics of young attending physician J.D. Dorian and his fellow doctors as they practice mischief and medicine while learning life lessons at the Sacred Heart teaching hospital in this long-running comedy series."

Desperate Housewives. "Winner of multiple Golden Globes, this popular prime-time soap follows the exploits of suburbanites Susan, Lynette, Bree, Gabrielle and Edie, whose daily lives run the gamut from parenting and marriage woes to steamy sex and deadly betrayal. Even as the ladies of Wisteria Lane harbor dark secrets, they lend one another support when the going gets tough."

How I Met Your Mother. "This sitcom details desperate bachelor Ted's epic search for his soul mate, told through flashbacks as an adult Ted recounts to his kids how he met their mom. As Ted bounces from one red herring to another, his best friends help keep him grounded."

Revenge. "Inspired by Alexandre Dumas' The Count of Monte Cristo, this modern-day drama follows a lovely young woman who moves to the Hamptons and charms the pants off her new neighbors -- while plotting their downfall for sins committed against her family."

Parks and Recreation. "This droll comedy focuses on Leslie Knope, a public employee with the Parks and Recreation department in rural Pawnee, Ind. Although Leslie is full of energy and good ideas for community improvements, she finds herself bogged down by bureaucracy."

One Tree Hill. "Enjoy the spectacle in Tree Hill, N.C., as half-brothers Lucas and Nathan spend their high school years and beyond alternating between friendship and rivalry as they fight for supremacy on the basketball court and in the hearts of their friends. Romantic entanglements abound and strife rages between the brothers and their dad, Dan, but as time passes, the boys learn to rely on each other."

Lost. "After their plane crashes on a deserted island, a diverse group of castaways adapt to their new home in this Emmy-winning drama. As if learning to survive and get along weren't enough, they soon must contend with the island's mysterious forces."

rainy mornings

IMG_0539
Today I woke up to a gray, rainy, summer morning. I love sunny summer weather, but every once in a while these kinds of mornings are really nice. I put on my favorite sweatshirt, made some tea, and sat down with some Netflix to continue my One Tree Hill marathon. My cozy morning was followed by a coffee date later with friends. I couldn't think of a better way to have spent a rainy day!

s'mores brownies

IMG_0546
The weather for the past few days hasn't been very summery. It's cooler and cloudy most of the time. Since the weather was preventing me from making regular s'mores, I decided to try a different version! Thanks to pinterest, I found a ton of recipes for s'mores brownies! For the most part, I used this recipe as a guide. Honestly, you could probably just make it up as you go along because it doesn't need to be fancy. They are delicious, but I think if I ever make them again I would add chocolate chips to the brownie mix. No such thing as too much chocolate!

back to school: bags

I hate seeing back to school signs in July. They're always ruining my summer. The aisles of folders, notebooks, and pencils remind me of homework and sitting in a classroom for hours. But the one part of back to school season that I do like is all the new fall clothes, shoes, accessories, etc. These are some of my favorite backpack options for this school year!
